Chief Michele Solomon, an Anishinabe Kwe, is the elected Chief of Fort William First Nation, following eight years as a Councillor. She holds a degree in Indigenous Learning from Lakehead University and a Social Service Worker Diploma from Confederation College. Michele has extensive experience in health and wellness, mental health, and addictions, having served in leadership roles at Dilico and White Cedar Healthcare Centre. She also worked as a Community Development Manager at ONWA and taught Indigenous Perspectives at Bora Laskin Faculty of Law. Michele is committed to community wellbeing, treaty education, youth empowerment, and meaningful policy and service development.
