Jake Alfieri

Communications Coordinator, Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek (BNA)

Jake Alfieri is the Communications Coordinator for Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek (BNA), also known as Sand Point First Nation. In this role, he leads the development and distribution of the First Nation’s quarterly newsletters, annual reports, social media content, and general communications. His work plays a key role in fostering clear, consistent, and transparent communication between BNA leadership and community members.

In addition to his communications duties, Jake has taken on the role of BNA’s Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP) Champion. Working closely with CCP Coordinator Lisa Heassler from the Nokiiwin Tribal Council, and guided by the vision and input of BNA members, they collaboratively developed Geh-zhe Naak-ko-ne-geh-ing, which was officially launched in March 2024. This CCP enables and guides BNA in their continued journey of creating a self-sufficient, supportive community where members thrive, and culture is celebrated.

Jake holds an Advanced Diploma in Interactive Media Development from Confederation College. He remains dedicated to supporting a holistic, community-driven planning process that reflects and uplifts the values, teachings, and traditions of Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek.
