Originally from the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Kevin is an accomplished entrepreneur, economic development professional, and educator with over 25 years of experience working with First Nations, governments, and businesses across Canada. He has helped establish or expand over 500 businesses and supported more than 1,600 entrepreneurs, leading to over $54 million in project approvals with a 98% success rate.
Kevin is the first First Nation person to earn both the Economic Development (EcD) and Professional Aboriginal Economic Development (PAED) designations, and to serve as President of both EDAC and CANDO. He holds degrees from Trent and Queen’s Universities, professional certifications from the University of Waterloo and Industry Canada, and completed executive training at Harvard.
He is a former marina owner, active community leader, and recipient of multiple leadership awards. Kevin divides his time between Sault Ste. Marie and Manitoulin Island, sharing life with his partner Karen, their 3 children, and 4 stepchildren.
