Cheryl St. James is a proud member of Fort William First Nation in northwestern Ontario. With a diverse academic background in Political Science, Business Administration, and Real Estate Sales, Cheryl has successfully transitioned into the realms of economic development and real estate acquisition and sales.
Cheryl is known for her commitment to ethical and environmentally friendly mining practices. Her expertise includes negotiating exploration agreements and impact benefit agreements, significantly contributing to sustainable development within her community. Notably, she played a key role in the acquisition of a 10,000 square foot office building in Thunder Bay, ON, enhancing regional business infrastructure.
Her leadership extends to her roles as Director on the board of OFNEDA and President of the Board of Directors at Aki Resources Northwest. Cheryl’s passion for economic development and business is evident in her active involvement and strategic contributions to these organizations.
Outside her professional endeavors, Cheryl is a dedicated business owner and a loving wife and mother to two sons and two huskies. She enjoys home décor, painting and reading in her spare time, reflecting her diverse interests and creative spirit.
