Marla Tremblay, Ec.D., is the Executive Director of MineConnect, Ontario’s Mining Supply and Services Association, representing more than 400 companies providing expertise, technology and solutions across the mining lifecycle.
Since joining MineConnect in 2021, Marla has led significant growth in the association’s membership, reach and influence while expanding opportunities for Ontario suppliers in domestic and international markets. Her work focuses on strengthening supply chains, connecting mining companies with Ontario-based capabilities, supporting export diversification and helping suppliers respond to emerging opportunities in sectors such as critical minerals and defence.
Marla is also Co-chair of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce Mining Council and works closely with industry, government, economic development organizations and mining supply associations across Canada. She is a strong advocate for greater visibility of Canadian suppliers, stronger interprovincial collaboration and a more coordinated approach to building resilient, sovereign supply chains.
A recognized economic development leader and frequent speaker, Marla brings a practical, industry-driven perspective to conversations about procurement, trade, workforce development and the future competitiveness of Canada’s mining supply and services sector.
