Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Russell began his career in the corporate sector, gaining extensive experience in finance and accounting with Fortune 500 companies. His passion for education and knowledge-sharing later led him to serve as a professor of finance at Confederation College.
In 2024, Russell joined NADF as an Account Manager, before transitioning into his current role as role as Senior Community Planner, where he continues to support Indigenous communities through strategic planning, and collaborative leadership.
He holds a Business degree from Western University and is a designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
