This hands-on 3-hour workshop will introduce participants to practical ways artificial intelligence (AI) can support and streamline the work of First Nations economic developers, particularly in creating and managing Impact Benefit Agreements (IBAs), preparing proposals, and compiling reports. Participants will explore accessible AI tools that can help with drafting, summarizing, analyzing data, and improving clarity and persuasiveness in written documents. Real-world examples and demonstrations will show how AI can be a time-saving assistant while still respecting cultural context, community priorities, and data sovereignty. Attendees will leave with strategies, prompts, and safeguards to use AI responsibly and effectively in their day-to-day work.
